PIDHIRTSI CASTLE IN LVIV REGION
Pidhirtsi Castle is a majestic castle. It is “Polish Versailles”. It “played a role” of Louvre in a famous Soviet film “D'Artagnan and Three Musketeers”. The palace is surrounded by a beautiful garden – a monument of national importance.
It is unique as it is a combination of Renaissance palace with bastion fortifications. This decision was dictated by its history: the castle was built on the remnants of earlier fortifications belonging to the Pidhoretsky family.
Visit Pidhirtsi to admire the castle complex that includes a palace, surrounded by ramparts and moats; a park, spread out on several terraces; a Catholic church and the inn. Nowadays the castle operates as a museum.
