It is designed in classic style. There are planted traditional city deciduous trees, including pine stands mysterious "guest" – black pine. This tree has dark bark and long needles – and yet, it is said, that it can take black grief, making it a light melancholy. The place needs such trees as this. Near the Lychakiv park was formed a single complex, erected memorial "Hill of Glory", where are the common and individual graves of soldiers who died in defense of the city in all the wars of the last century. Hill is divided by the alley, called the Alley of Heroes, and the entrance to the memorial is decorated with pillars in the form of lowered flags.

On the other side of the park is Lychakiv Cemetery. This necropolis is one of the greatest in Europe, and the oldest gravestone is dated by 1675 year. Nowadays gravestones of Cemetery are a museum of sculpture and architecture, featuring the works of famous masters of the past. At the cemetery, the museum has several memorials: Memorial of UPA, memorial to soldiers of the Ukrainian Galician Army, Field of honored graves, Austrian military cemetery and others.
